The Sanctuary of Columbus installed a prayer kiosk at its church in Columbus, Indiana. Provided by 247Prayer, members can submit prayer requests on the device or check in for prayers, according to a report by The Republic.
Since the church installed it, more than 90 members have used it. Once becoming a member, churchgoers can receive a keyfob to access the church 24/7 to use the kiosk.
Non-members may use the kiosk during regular church hours.
Senior pastor Matthew Johnson said the kiosks don't track how many hours members pray, but it does show how many collective hours are logged in the machine.
"People can log in anonymously, but this is a new company that just launched this kiosk and we thought it would be a great way of encouraging prayer on our campus," Johnson said in the report.
