Leslie Williams, a Wayne State University student, recently launched a vending machine in Detroit to provide beauty care products tailored to African American women and other women of color, according to a Detroit Free Press report. The machine is called the Lavish Box and carries brands such as Kiss, Ardell, L.A., Colors, Got2b, EBIN NY and Williams' own cosmetic line, Lavish Box lip glosses.

Williams launched the vending machine after not being able to find many products geared to women of color in major retail stores during the pandemic.

The machine is located at New Center One building at 3031 W. Grand Blvd. in Detroit.
