Coinstar to give away $10K at KioskCom

Coinstar Inc. will award $10,000 at November's KioskCom Self Service Expo for the best new concept in retail-based kiosks.
The contest's Web site urges entrants to look to the company's successful kiosk brands for inspiration:
 | The winning entry will have the potential to shake up the market for their product or services by offering great value to consumers and retailers. Your idea should address a unique need, like the Coinstar coin-counting machine, or solve a consumer problem, as the redbox DVD-rental machines do by offering superior convenience. Your business should have a large potential market (at least $1 billion) and have the potential to capture significant market share. |  |
Entries are due by Oct. 8, and the winner will be announced during the conference, which is Nov. 10-11 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City.
