Coinstar installs coin-counting kiosks at check-cashing stores

Coinstar has begun installation of its self-service coin-counting kiosks at select Payomatic stores in New York, according to a press release.

The kiosks will complement other financial services offered by Payomatic, including check cashing, money transfers and bill payment. Approximately 25 Coinstar kiosks have been installed at Payomatic store locations so far, with more to follow in the coming months.

Coinstar owns and operates a network of nearly 20,000 kiosks providing retailers and financial institutions a turnkey service and new revenue stream, the release said.
