Clothing company offers HR kiosk to deskless workers

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. -- Benefit Software Inc., provider of printed and online employee benefit communications announced the successful implementation of OshKosh B'Gosh's benefit communication service using Fringe Facts Online.

According to a news release, Benefit Software first provided OshKosh with a personalized Website and online benefit statements. Then the company distributed printed TotalComp employee benefit statements to its employees who didn't have Internet access at work.

These production employees were then given access to a kiosk at work where they could view their online benefit information. The employee benefit statement show employees the costs of their employer-paid benefits, plus salary and other paid time-off benefit information.

Sharon Jeschke, benefits manager at OshKosh, said, "We did a return-on-investment analysis and determined how much money we would save by not having to print and mail all our benefit and HR communication materials to all our locations. Not only will we save time and money, but our benefits are now easier to administer.

"We have more consistent, accurate and up to date information; we improve our service to our employees; and we can make easy updates to policies, forms and handbooks."

Jeschke added that next year, OshKosh may add online benefits enrollment to its kiosk services.
