Cleveron selects Carrier Transicold refrigeration for automated pickup lockers

Cleveron, an Estonia-based provider of self-service automated pickup lockers, has selected Carrier Transicold NaturaLINE CO2 containers to provide refrigeration for its automated outdoor Cleveron 501 grocery kiosks, according to a r744.com report.

The NaturaLINE containers are the only ones to use CO2 (R744) for container refrigeration, according to a statement on the Carrier website.

The containers are usually used for marine shipping services, including shipping fresh and frozen food.

Cleveron provides automated click-and-collect solutions for grocery retailers, including a touchless 24/7 alternative to in-store shopping, pickup or home delivery.

Cleveron has sold the 501 units worldwide, including the U.S.

Albertsons Companies in January announced it installed an automated and contactless grocery pickup kiosk using the Cleveron 501 at a Jewel-Osco store in Chicago.
