Cleveron AS, an Estonian technology company specializing in parcel robots and lockers, has introduced Cleveron 354, a battery-powered outdoor parcel locker, according to a press release. The grid-independent parcel solution aims to reduce 70% in CO2 emissions across the last-mile sector.

"Our projections show that within a decade, 80% of last-mile deliveries in Europe will be conducted via parcel lockers, which will emerge as the preferred method among end customers," Arti Kütt, CEO of Cleveron, said in the press release. "This approach is not only more cost-effective but also significantly more sustainable. Battery-powered parcel lockers will play a pivotal role in driving this revolution, as these can be installed basically on every street corner.

"Implementing a locker network significantly reduces the need for home deliveries which costs rise yearly. Consumers have shown a willingness to retrieve their parcels within a comfortable 5-minute walking radius, making Cleveron 354 the best solution for network buildouts," Kütt said.

Cleveron 354 features 24/7 online capabilities. It also boasts a smaller CO2 lifetime footprint, approximately 20 times smaller than traditional grid-powered lockers.

The locker allows customers to retrieve parcels by entering a code on the PIN pad, eliminating the need for a dedicated mobile application.

The locker operator receives real-time updates about their parcel lockers.
