ATLANTA - Clearwave, an innovator in simplifying healthcare administration, announced in a news release an exclusive agreement with Radiant Systems Inc., a leader in point-of-sale, self-service kiosk and back-office technology.
Under the 10-year agreement, Radiant Systems will provide its kiosk hardware exclusively to Clearwave for use in processing healthcare transactions. The kiosk, which is already being used in physician offices, works directly with Clearwave's patent-pending network technology to bring providers significant cost savings and workflow efficiencies by enabling patient self check-in and conducting real-time eligibility checks. By working with Clearwave to bring check-in and eligibility verification from the back office to the waiting room, physician practices experience greater customer satisfaction, efficient use of administrative staff time, a decrease in ineligible claims and more.
Clearwave's kiosk also offers physicians the capability to process payments, identify individual patients with a biometric fingerprint scan and is able to read RFID cards. In addition, the screen text and images on Clearwave's kiosk can be customized to give the provider an opportunity for branding or relaying special updates to the patient upon check-in.
"We were drawn to Radiant Systems not only for their reputation in the marketplace, but also their flexibility in working with us," said Gerard White, chief executive officer of Clearwave. "They were able to modify a high-volume kiosk to specifically meet our requirements. Working with Radiant Systems will bring Clearwave production flexibility, reliable kiosk hardware and, as a result, a significant competitive advantage."
