Clear, a technology company that provides biometric identity screening kiosks at airports and other venues, has introduced its Health Pass that connects a user's identity to their COVID-19 vaccination status, according to the company's website.
The Clear app enables travelers to enroll and complete a Health Pass on a personal device to confirm their vaccination status after receiving the COVID-19 vaccine.
The app asks the user a series of questions and directs the user to a kiosk that takes their temperature contactlessly. A healthy temperature check then enables the user to retrieve a Health Pass.
The user must have a U.S. state ID, driver license, U.S. passport or permanent resident ID.
The Clear solution integrates COVID-19 lab test results from more than 30,000 labs. The user completes a one-time account link between Clear and their lab account.
The Health Pass is a free feature of the Clear app.
