Clear, British Airways to team up at JFK

Orlando Sentinel: Clear Registered Traveler announced last week that it will partner with British Airways to begin its registered-traveler program at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York this fall. The program will be the first of its kind to operate in New York. So far, Clear is only available at Orlando International Airport but has plans to open at other airports by the end of the year. In exchange for an annual fee and biometric data, the program allows passengers to move faster through airport security lines. In February, General Electric made a $16 million investment to become a partner in Verified Identity Pass Inc., which operates Clear. A Clear verification kiosk, co-developed with GE, is being tested in Orlando, Fla.
