Churchill Downs suites offer self-serve betting

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Churchill Downs will make gambling easy for the jet set, according to an article in the TheCourier Journal. Twenty-three new luxury suites at the venue will include self-service betting machines alongside wet bars, computers and televisions.

The suites can generally accommodate 24 to 26 folks, including outdoor seating for 12.

Eventually, there will be 81 suites at the Downs, priced from $68,000 to $97,000 a year, on three- to five-year leases, according to the article. The suites will offer prime viewing for the Kentucky Derby and other races, as well as entertainment throughout the year.
