Milwaukee Journal Sentinel: A Brookfield, Wisc., company is suing 39 churches in eight states, saying it is owed $1.4 million for failing to make payments on interactive educational kiosks. But some of the churches have countersued, claiming they were victims of a scam that involves the company, United Leasing Associates of America, and Washington, D.C.-based Television Broadcasting Online and its subsidiary, Urban Interfaith Network. The churches contend that the equipment never worked properly and that the kiosks sold to them for $37,200 each actually had a retail value of less than $4,000.
