China Postal Savings to expand self-service network

June 24, 2003

HENAN, China -- China Postal Savings Henan (CPS) will add to its 30-unit self-service network using more automated teller machines from Wincor Nixdorf.

This follow-on order comprises 100 ProCash 2050 ATMs and an additional six ProCash 3100 cash-recycling systems, according to a news release.

The machines will be installed in 18 towns and cities between August and December. The cash-recycling systems will be added to five new self-service branches in Zhengzhou, the capital city of Henan Province.

In rolling out the new hardware, CPS is also simultaneously switching its self-service network across to the Wincor Nixdorf ProTopas software platform.

The decision to use greater levels of self-service technology is a key element of CPS' marketing strategy, the release said.
