Chicago to install Narcan machine at train station

The Chicago Transit Authority will install a vending machine offering free Narcan at the 95th Street station in Roseland, the first such machine targeting persons who overdose on fentanyl on the CTA, according to a blockclubchicago.org report.

The mother of a man who died from overdosing while riding on the Blue Line lobbied the CTA to take some corrective action.

The machine will include fentanyl testing strips and hygiene kits and is expected to be installed this summer.
