Users of the Metra rail in Chicago will no longer have access to ticket windows as of Feb. 1 and will buy transit cards and tickets from vending machines, according to a msn.com report.
Windows on BNFS lines closed on Jan. 8 and all remaining windows will close on Feb. 1.
The vending machines have been installed at the busiest stops. Riders can also use the Ventra app.
The machines are located at these five station sites, according to the Ventra website: Chicago Union Station (Metra, Amtrak). Ogilvie Transportation Center (Metra). Millennium Station (Metra, South Shore Line), Navy Pier and the Museum of Science & Industry. Machines are also available at CTA's general offices at 567 W. Lake Street, Chicago.
