Check the Chip kiosk offers microchip management for pet owners

Check the Chip, Inc. has launched its first-ever microchip self-service kiosk. This kiosk offers pet owners and communities a user-friendly way to interact with their pet's microchip, enhancing lost pet recovery, according to a press release.

"This early data is exciting because it brings to light the need for easy, local scanner access," Olivia White, Check the Chip's founder and CEO, said in the release. "Our goal is to install our kiosks into every pet store in the U.S. With access to smarter microchip technology like this, it could have the largest impact on solving the lost pet problem, ensuring lost pets return home instead of entering overcrowded shelters."

The kiosk boasts three key features:

• Free microchip check: Allows owners to confirm their pet's microchip functionality.

• Register a microchip: Provides a secure way to register a pet's microchip for a one-time fee.

• Found a lost pet?: Enables good Samaritans to scan a lost pet's microchip and reunite it with its owner.
