CBC.com: In an effort to fight the vandalism of parking meters, the City of Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada, is piloting a new parking kiosk system to collect parking fees. Each of the centralized kiosks will replace a dozen of the older meters. The company deploying the kiosks will allow an eight-month test period. If the city is not happy with the new "pay and display" kiosk it can return to the old meters.
