Charleston taps Flowbird for solar-powered, touchscreen parking kiosks

The city of Charleston, South Carolina has partnered with Flowbird to introduce solar powered parking kiosks with a 10-inch touchscreen where they will enter their license plate number, according to a chstoday.6amcity.com report.

Users will pay with Flowbird's payment app, credit or debit cards, city-issued smart cards or by text.

The city expects to install the on-street parking kiosks this year.
