FRESNO, Calif. -- CeroView, provider of turnkey kiosk solutions, announced the final delivery and installation of a kiosk network at Fresno Adult School.
CeroView delivered six of its Sirius wall-mounted kiosks to the school, according to a news release. The Sirius kiosk is an option for clients who are seeking a system that does not consume floor space.
Fresno Adult School is using the systems in public areas for students who want to find out more about classes, conduct in-depth searches of programs and receive course schedules.
"As part of their leadership and on-going commitment to their students, Fresno Adult School initiated a kiosk program to help students perform self-service searches for course schedules, curriculum, learning opportunities and job openings," said Traci Fretheim, CeroView vice president and chief operating officer.
"We built a network that greatly assists the student in learning more about a specific class and at which campus that class is offered," said Fretheim.
"Fresno Adult School is a fairly typical educational client. They've invested in a sophisticated Internet and Intranet portal and are looking at ways to broaden its reach to the student base "
Fresno Adult School has strategically placed kiosks into key access areas on two campuses and has reported heavy usage by students.
The kiosk application created by CeroView was developed using Netkey Creator. The application consists of a Microsoft Access database containing information about classes, course times and locations. The system matches course schedule and student schedule times dynamically.
The Sirius wall-mounted kiosks used by Fresno Adult School have also been used by NASA, US Geological Survey and Citibank, the release said.
