The United States Census Bureau is using interactive kiosks to encourage Norwalk, Conn., residents to get counted, according to The Hour newspaper in Norwalk.
The "Census Road Tour" bus stopped at Norwalk City Hall on Monday, unloading life-sized census forms and an interactive kiosk in the building's lobby.
Census Bureau Partnership Specialist Sherri Wood introduced visitors to the interactive displays set up throughout the lobby to underscore the importance of taking part in the census count. "We really want to get across how important it is that the community gets counted," Wood said. "The 10 minutes it takes to fill out the Census form will affect you for the next 10 years of your life."
The Road Tour is a cross-country campaign to raise awareness and encourage participation in the nation's once-a-decade population count.
