CEN Media Group has partnered with Ultraleap to install a touchless digital out-of-home cinema network, according to a press release.
Starting with 10 city locations in New York, Chicago, Dallas, Detroit, Sacramento and Los Angeles, the installation of Ultraleap's technology will run standard display advertising and touchless interactive content, according to a press release. Broadsign will provide content management while AdMobilize will provide data analytics.
The installations will include Ultraleap's hand tracking and mid-air haptics which will limit the spread of germs and provide safe and natural interaction with content, marking its first U.S. network installation at scale in digital-out-of-home.
"When combined with the fact that people are 1.8 times more likely to interact with gesture control in the future, compared to touchscreens, it becomes clear that using this type of technology not only surprises and delights consumers, but they now highly value being able to interact without touching surfaces," Steve Cliffe, CEO at Ultraleap, said in the press release.
Ultraleap's hand tracking and "virtual touch" haptics use ultrasound to create the sensation of touch in mid-air.
