Casino announces Q1 results, plans for kiosks

BILOXI, Miss. -- Isle of Capri Casinos Inc. reported record first quarter financial results for the quarter ended July 27, 2003. The casino announced it is installing kiosks at its properties to allow players club members to easily review their accounts.

Isle has installed ticket-in /ticket-out technology at 10 of its properties, providing coinless gaming at the slots.

For the first quarter, the company reported first quarter net income of $13.6 million or $0.45 per diluted common share compared to net income of $12.2 million or $0.40 per diluted common share for the same quarter last year.

Isle of Capri Casinos had first quarter net revenues of $285.8 million, compared to $276.7 million for the same period in fiscal 2003, and first quarter adjusted EBITDA of $67.4 million, compared to $60.9 million for the same period in fiscal 2003.
