Carvana, which has experienced falling sales and layoffs this year, has nearly completed its first customer center on Long Island, New York, according to a Newsday report.
The center includes a car vending machine at 2 North Ave. in Uniondale, an unincorporated area of Hempstead. Carvana purchased 1.9 acres of land in 2021 for $9.7 million. The machine is 75 feet high and 40 square feet wide.
The project is moving forward as planned, a town representative told Newsday.
Carvana is an e-commerce platform for buying and selling used cars online that offers a car vending machine.
