Cantaloupe introduces next-generation touchscreens

Cantaloupe, a digital payments and software services company that provides end-to-end technology solutions for the unattended retail market, has developed its ePort Connect Platform's premium and next-generation touchscreen devices, the ePort Engage and the ePort Engage Combo, according to a press release.

This iteration of the ePort Series gives retailers the ability to engage consumers in new ways, enabling frictionless purchasing, according to the company.

The ePort Engage offers networking, security and interactivity, including acceptance of contact EMV (chip cards) and contactless EMV (tap) payment methods. It will also connect to the Cantaloupe Seed software platform, giving unattended retailers the ability to streamline operations.

Features also include:

• All-in-one card reader and telemeter design.
• Anti-tamper security features.
• CI PTS 5.X compliant device for processing payments and data.
• For ePort Engage: edge-to-edge, 3.5-inch touchscreen.
• For ePort Combo: a 2.5-inch touchscreen that fits over a bill acceptor.

The ePort Engage is expected to be available in September 2021, with pre-orders beginning in July.
