Canadian town unveils solar powered kiosk in solar park

August 3, 2017

A solar powered kiosk was recently unveiled in Vulcan, Canada's solar park, according to The Vulcan Advocate. The kiosk communicates how much power is being generated, even on a cloudy day.

Tom Grant, the town's major, said there are four components to the kiosk – educational, solar, the park and good land use.

EDF ED Canada, an electricity company, contributed $30,000 towards developing the kiosk.

Software developers Greg Friedman and Brad Cunningham, who developed the kiosk, came from San Diego, California for the unveiling. Both said they wanted to make something that would help the town understand what is happening at the solar park.
