Quatrefoil, a Dundas, Ontario, restaurant has installed a kiosk that welcomes patrons by monitoring their body temperatures and checks to see they are wearing a face mask, according to a cbc.ca report.

If the sensor detects a customer has a high temperature, the kiosk will audibly ask the patron to "please wait for assistance from a staff member." It is then up to the staff member to decide to admit the patron.

The kiosk's facial recognition technology ensures the patron is wearing a face mask. If the mask is not present or not positioned properly, the kiosk asks the patron to wear a mask.

If both the temperature and mask requirements are met, the kiosk will display a green checkmark and say "welcome to Quatrefoil."
