Canadian resort says cashless-vending improves profits

Amonline.com: The Ambassador Conference Resort in Ontario, Canada, has found that its 2-year-old cashless-vending system has improved profits and eliminated vandalism. That news came after research conducted by hospitalitynet.org, a hospitality-industry news source. The vending system utilizes the Kaba Advanced Technology Lodging Access Solution and cStar's cashless vending solution, Vending Genie. Vending-machine purchases are charged to the guest's room account. ATLAS integrates with a hotel's IT infrastructure and provides compatibility with other vendor systems using Web services.
