Users of TransLink, the British Columbia, Canada transportation authority, will be able to use 54 touchscreen kiosks to plan trips and get live information at transit stations, bus loops and "park & rides," according to a press release. Users will be able to:

  • Plan trips.
  • View live transit schedules.
  • See upcoming departure times.
  • Be alerted to updates on the network.
  • Receive emergency messages and notifications.

Purchasing, installing and maintaining the kiosks are covered by TransLink's advertising licensee Lamar in exchange for displaying advertisements when the screens are not in use by customers.
