California court to install more kiosks

August 26, 2004

LOS ANGELES, Calif. - Los Angeles County Superior Court expanded its deployment of VantagePoint Print kiosks; it will install between four and six kiosks in each of its 50 courthouses.

The Superior Court kiosks provide a range of information pertaining to the business of the court including the court's local rules, forms, fee schedules, court calendars and court holidays. The kiosk systems also provide case-specific information including comprehensive case summaries, tentative rulings and pleadings from major cases. Users may also search a database of outstanding traffic tickets and request traffic school.

The vandal-resistant kiosks are designed and manufactured by Redondo Beach, Calif.-based SeePoint Technology. Users may access the Superior Court's application via touchscreen, pointing device, or integrated keyboard.
