California community gets kiosks for municipal payments

General Payment Systems announced that it will provide payment kiosk technology for the parks and recreation department in Huntington Park, Calif.

General Payment Systems will allow for municipal payments for parks and recreation services, furthering the company's penetration and potential in the municipal payment arena, the announcement said.

"Huntington Park residents will soon be able to use our kiosks to pay for police and law enforcement related payments, utilities and Parks and Recreation expenses," said CEO Ron Hodge. "Our goal is to leverage our successes in the corrections industry to penetrate the vast municipal payment market. Today is another significant step forward."
