FCW.com: California legislators are considering the Identity Information Protection Act of 2005, which would restrict usage of RFID technology in certain locations and require companies and agencies using the technology to make it clear when and where RFID is in place. It's part of a growing body of legislative attention being paid to the technology: Rhode Island has banned government agencies from using RFID to track the movement or identity of a person, while South Dakota, perhaps looking farther into the future, has outlawed implanting RFID chips in humans.
