Caesars Sportsbook takes over D.C. kiosks

Caesars Sportsbook is making a significant move in the District of Columbia sports betting market. The company plans to install 53 sports betting kiosks at small businesses throughout the city, according to a Sports Casting report. The expansion comes after the departure of Gamebet DC, which had struggled to gain traction in the market.

Caesars' kiosks will offer a variety of betting options, including cash deposits into mobile accounts and wagering. Eric Hession, president of Caesars Digital, expressed excitement about the opportunity to expand the company's presence in the nation's capital.

"We appreciate the Office of Lottery and Gaming for providing us the opportunity to further our connection with sports fans in our nation's capital," Hession told the news outlet. "Our self-service betting kiosks are an excellent addition to our sports wagering options in D.C."

The expansion of sports betting in D.C. is a testament to the growing popularity of the industry. By introducing more competition and options for bettors, the District is aiming to create a more dynamic and vibrant sports betting market.
