The Hindu: A new global survey says Indian consumers rank highest in the world when it comes to demand for multichannel and self-service technologies like ATMs, kiosks, Internet and mobile phones, with as many as 97 percent of respondents preferring such services. According to the survey conducted by BuzzBack Market Research for NCR Corp., Indian respondents say they are more likely to interact with firms providing multichannel self-service technologies, while 81 percent have increased their likelihood of using self-service in the past year. In contrast, 79 percent of consumers in the United States and about 77 percent in the United Kingdom are likely to do business with a company that offers self-service technology. In Canada, just 63 percent want such services, the survey revealed.
