Bulgaria plans to have 10,000 EV vehicle charging stations powered by renewable sources in the next five years, Bulgarian Energy and Mining Forum, a non-government organization, said on Monday, according to a seenews.com report.
Last month, the Electricity System Operator, a state organization, and several other organizations agreed to work together to explore the EV infrastructure, the NGO said.
The ESO, which operates 297 substations in Bulgaria, will integrate the EV charging stations into its grid after they are built. The stations will serve electric cars, electric public transport and heavy industry vehicles.
