Broadax introduces new kiosk PC

CITY OF INDUSTRY, Calif. - Broadax Systems Inc. has launched a new personal computer for kiosk and point-of-sale applications, the RMS-4000, stressing the unit's ruggedness and small footprint.

The RMS-4000, which can run up on an 850 MHz central processing unit, is an all-in-one computer and monitor with a 14.1-inch flat panel - a 15.1-inch panel is also available. The system comes equipped with a flash BIOS system, up to 256MB of SDRAM, an XGA chipset, built-in speakers, and CD-ROM drive.

The unit, which starts at $2,385, features a water- and dust-proof front panel that is suitable for industrial and outdoor environments, the company stated in a news release.
