BROOMFIELD, Colo. - SkyeTek Inc., provider of embedded RFID reader technology and developer of ReaderWare, announced in a news release that Boundless Technologies is incorporating SkyeTek's M1 reader into the Boundless ADDS 5700 Dual Video Web Terminal. By adding RFID as a feature, Boundless expands the addressable market of the ADDS 5700 to new kiosk applications such as point-of-sale credit card transactions for retail, user identification and authentication for financial services, and inventory tracking and management in pharmaceuticals.
"We selected SkyeTek because they were uniquely able to meet our customers' requirements for size, functionality, security, and cost while providing a robust software development platform in ReaderWare that accelerates time-to-market," said Boundless Technologies chief operating officer Jack Ryan. "RFID-enabled ADDS 5700's allow Boundless to increase its value proposition to customers and extend its reputation as an innovative and responsive global supplier of data entry and video display technologies."
In addition to being embedded within the ADDS 5700, Boundless also offers SkyeTek's M1 reader module as a standard PCI card that can be easily integrated within existing Boundless devices.
"Kiosks are a prime example of the rapidly broadening reach of RFID outside the role of traditional supply-chain and into the role of a feature leveraged within consumer-facing applications," said Rob Balgley, chief executive officer of SkyeTek.
