Boat safety kiosk prepares to make a splash

SHERBROOKE, Quebec - A Sea-Doo personal watercraft outfitted as a safety information kiosk will make its debut at the Montreal Boat Show on March 14. The Sea-Doo Guru is the inspiration of Canadian watercraft manufacturer Bombardier Recreational Products.

Fitted with an Intel Pentium IV computer, touchscreen monitor, and keyboard, the Guru includes five modules designed to teach watercraft users about safety, environmental issues, and technological advancements.

Bombardier Recreational officials said that following the Montreal Boat Show, the Sea-Doo Guru will tour the United States and Canada throughout 2002.
