Blink acquires UK EV charging company for $23M

Blink Holdings BV, which owns Blink Charging Co. in the U.S., has acquired Electric Blue Ltd., a provider of integrated EV charging and sustainable energy solutions based in the United Kingdom, for approximately $23.4 million, according to a press release.

This acquisition marks Blink's entry into the U.K. and adds more than 1,150 chargers, installed or committed for delivery, to its footprint, accelerating Blink's global expansion, now present in more than 18 countries.

EB Charging services more than 80 customers, principally local authorities, healthcare trusts, universities and fleets. Its Level 2 and DC products have been installed in over 40 municipalities across the U.K.

Like Blink, EB Charging offers an owner-operator model, providing customers and partners with opportunities to achieve customer goals whether they want to own, partner with or host their charging infrastructure.
