SOS, the creator and operator of interactive vending machines for public spaces that deliver feminine hygiene products and digital content, was recently profiled by bizjournals.com as part of its "bizwomen" series.
Susanna Twarog and Robina Verbeek, founders, met working at a Fortune 100 company and noticed the absence of quality health and wellness products in offices and public spaces.
To solve this problem, they invented the SOS machine, an IoT- device that offers individually packaged products for people on the go. The machine features a video touchscreen that provides targeted content and provides a cardless, contactless purchase experience.
The company, which holds five design patents in the U.S., Canada, Europe and China, has placed machines at Fenway Park, Prudential Center, FLA Live Arena, Boston Children's Hospital and more.
