Bixolon Europe intros printer with mPOS capabilities

Bixolon Europe GmbH, a subsidiary of Bixolon Co. Ltd., a mobile, label and POS printer manufacturer, has launched its SRP-Q200, a 2-inch (58mm) direct thermal cube printer with mPOS capabilities to the European market, according to a press release. The printer is designed for a range of receipt and ticketing applications including stand-alone kiosks, omnichannel retailing, unified commerce, pop-up stores and more.

The printer pairs multiple configurations for top and front-exit printing. It services print speeds up to 250mm/sec at 203dpi print resolution for couponing or ticketing applications that require dense data usage. While supporting an integrated auto cutter and anti-jam technology, the unit is managed by a seesaw-type power switch and comes with a 2-year warranty.

Available with a USB V2.0 FS plus serial interface as standard with optional Ethernet, Ethernet plus dual-band WLAN (5GHz and 2.4GHz) or Ethernet plus Bluetooth LE, the printer is compatible with programming languages including BXL POS, alongside all major operating systems including Android, iOS and Windows. It is accompanied with a suite of firmware and software, including network management protocol (MIB file), SoftAP and a smart connection for Wi-Fi setup, along with Bixolon mPrint app for printing directly from a web browser.
