Bite Inc., a provider of a digital ordering platform for quick service restaurants, has introduced a suite of products powered by Bite Lift, an AI recommendation engine that can predict guest preferences and suggest items, according to a press release.
The suite features Web, Drivethru and LineBuster, which join Kiosk and Contactless, previously called Flash.
Bite Lift uses more than 15 external signals, including weather, to help guests find items they want. Soon, Lift's recommendations, which drive average order size above 20%, will also power dynamic presentation of menus.
With these products, Bite can service the foodservice industry, including offices and universities, as well as the ghost kitchen/food hall industry, which is growing at an exponential pace but has unique technical requirements like aggregating orders from multiple POS systems.
Bite Contactless, the company's smartphone-based ordering product, has since been deployed to hundreds of restaurants. Satisfied customers include Newk's Eatery and Fazoli's.
"We're experiencing a record year in sales and traffic, and we know that Bite has allowed for safer, easier ordering that is socially distant, which our guests appreciate," Wayne Pederson, Fazoli's CIO, said in the release.
