Patrons at the Billings, Montana public library can pick up books at a locker kiosk outside a library entrance 24/7, the first of as many as three lockers to retrieve books reserved online or by phone, according to a report in the Billings Gazette.
The library foundation has secured funds for the second kiosk and has begun funding for a third, each of which costs $100,000.
To open the lockers, patrons sign in with their PIN number and library card. Items are available for pickup for seven days after being placed in a locker
The kiosk holds 54 lockers and holds as many as 20 items per locker.
