Bill-payment kiosk software receives glowing review from software security group

Financial solutions company Source Technologies has received a 100 percent review from Veracode's SecurityReview program for its Self-Service BillPay kiosk.

Financial solutions company Source Technologies has received a 100 percent review from Veracode's SecurityReview program for its Self-Service BillPay kiosk. The program is designed to review software code for security flaws, according to the announcement.

The goal of the SecurityReview program is to help retailers and other enterpreises examine how secure certain applications are. The program found no known security vulnerabilities in the BillPay kiosk software, according to the press release.

The kiosk is designed to be a quick and simple bill-payment solution for retail customers. It is designed to be Payment Card Industry compliant and accepts cash, credit, debit check and pre-paid cards.

"With more than 100 million people in the U.S. using cash for all of their transactions, retail customers walk into stores to make bill payments every day," Keith Hamilton, CEO of Source Technologies, said in the release. "Our Self-Service BillPay kiosk helps retailers safely automate in-store bill payments, giving their customers an easy, secure way to pay bills without having to wait in long lines for an employee to take their payment."
