Bike-share kiosk program gets rolling in Milwaukee

July 9, 2013

Milwaukee joins the list of major metropolitan cities launching bike-share programs, with the first kiosk unveiled yesterday at the Discovery World museum on the city's lakefront, fox6now.com reported.

The kiosk, operated by Midwest BikeShare, allows cyclists to rent the B-Cycle bikes daily between 5 a.m. and 11 p.m. The company plans to install 25 bike rental kiosks throughout Milwaukee by March 2014.

"I do believe once this gets up and running, employers, businesses, foundations [and] individuals will really see the value of what we are doing here," said Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett.
