Bike-rental kiosks pedal into Kentucky city

Owensboro, Kentucky, residents will now be able to take a bike ride for $5 an hour.

Boro Bikes has installed two bike-rental kiosks in Owensboro, Kentucky, to allow residents to take a ride for $5 an hour, according to areportby 14 News.

The kiosks will be installed in downtown Owensboro and Horse Fork Creek Park. The docking stations are solar powered. Boro Bikes owner Adam McIntire got this idea for rental kiosks after seeing a similar kiosk in Chicago.

"I've been working all weekend ... took a few days off of work to get these things installed," McIntire said in an interview with 14 News. "Finally have the kiosk up trying to get the bikes plugged in, ready to go, ready to rent."
