Biden announces 1st round of EV charging network funding

President Biden announced the first round of funding for a nationwide network of electric vehicle charging stations in 35 states. He made the announcement at the Detroit Auto Show, according to a cnbc.com report.

The federal bipartisan infrastructure law includes $7.5 billion for the charging network while the Inflation Reduction Act and the CHIPS and Science Act have provisions to support nationwide EV development.

Biden said his administration has allocated $135 billion for EV development.
