Bibliotheca library kiosk system honored

Europe's leading RFID supplier to the library market, Bibliotheca RFID Library Systems, is celebrating an award for innovation from IBM. The accolade recognizes Bibliotheca's outstanding business achievements in the field of self-service solutions, according to a press release from Bibliotheca.
Bibliotheca's aim is for smarter libraries and it successfully launched a highly innovative solution featuring state-of-the-art RFID technology and a self-check solution on the IBM AnyPlace Kiosk. The IBM AnyPlace Kiosk forms the touchscreen and integrated PC component in Bibliotheca's SelfCheck range.
Johannes Rogg, managing director of Bibliotheca UK, said, "More and more libraries are turning to RFID as part of their drive towards self-service, to increase security and for more efficient stock management. Twenty-four-hour, seven-day support is crucial for many of our library clients who are offering their customers a round-the-clock service."
