Bell Helicopter brings kiosks to shop floor

March 18, 2002

BLOOMFIELD, Colo. - Bell Helicopter has installed 25 kiosks at its Texas manufacturing plant to keep its office and shop floor employees informed of company information.

The kiosks, built by Kiosk Information Systems(KIS), replace paper-based and word-of-mouth communications previously used by the helicopter manufacturer, according to a KIS news release. KIS president Rick Malone said the kiosks are designed to withstand the factory environment.

Bell's 7,000 employees will use the kiosks to view the company's online portal, MyBellHelicopter.com, which provides company news and employment information. The plant is in Hurst, Texas.
