Belfast airport intros plastic bottle recycling machines

Visitors to Belfast International Airport can drop off used plastic bottles at two reverse vending machines positioned before the security area for departures, according to a northernirelandworld.com report.

A soon-to-be added mobile app will allow users to be rewarded for disposing plastic bottles at the machines, which crush them into raw material used in manufacturing.

The Antrim and Newtownabbey Council supported the machines since they complement the council's climate change action plan.
