Baptist Health announced it selected PMMC, provider of revenue cycle-management solutions, for its software solution that will create estimates of patients' financial responsibility upon visit.

The central Alabama health care provider will use the PMMC ESTIMATOR PRO to generate estimates from existing claims data stored within PMMC CONTRACT PRO, a contract-management solution.

Schedule to go live in January 2015, the PMMC ESTIMATOR PRO will integrate with the organization's Clearwave kiosk, an insurance verification and registration solution.

"More and more consumers expect a full upfront picture of their costs, especially with patients' out-of-pocket obligations at an all-time high," said Greg Kay, vice president at PMMC, in a statement. "The combination of the existing Clearwave registration kiosk with CONTRACT PRO and ESTIMATOR PRO will streamline the front-end registration and estimate process for Baptist Health and position them as a leading health system."
